	Halcomb & Wertheim, P.C. was founded in 1997 as an amicable spin-off of Sirote & Permutt, P.C.'s consumer collection practice, where Mac Halcomb and Jeff Wertheim had practiced since 1989. Our firm has grown steadily in all areas and has been blessed with a strong client base of creditors and a talented team of professionals dedicated to serving them. The firm opened its first office in April 1997 in a rennovated store front building in downtown Birmingham, Alabama. We moved to our current location in September 2001. Our facilities now occupy approximately 5200 square feet and have a secure and professionally designed floor plan for our practice. From its inception, Halcomb & Wertheim, P.C. has handled only creditors’ rights matters...our growth has enabled the firm to strengthen and expand our practice and we now provide significantly greater bankruptcy, litigation and debt collection services.
